Exoscale pricing and plans

Swiss cloud billed by the second, IPv4 included, storage extra

Exoscale is a Swiss cloud provider with zones in Geneva, Zurich, Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, Sofia and Zagreb. Instances are billed by the second; the instance price leaves out the local SSD disk, which is billed per GB on top (10 GB at least), while a public IPv4 and IPv6 address and an hourly outbound traffic allowance come with every instance. An account is billed in Swiss francs, euros or US dollars depending on where its owner is based, at the same figures; we list the euro price of each instance with the 10 GB minimum disk for 730 hours, without tax, converted to US dollars at the European Central Bank rate.

We earn nothing from Exoscale.

Plans and derived unit cost

The final two columns are computed from the monthly price, which is how you spot the tier where a provider stops being good value.

All figures are the providers' own published list prices in USD, on-demand monthly. The index was last refreshed 2026-10-14, and every row shows the date its own price was read. Nothing here is live or negotiated pricing. Where a provider bills a public IPv4 address on top, it is added to the monthly price, the ranking and every cost per vCPU or per GB, and the row shows the parts: the server, any disk priced apart, and the IPv4 charge. Some prices exclude VAT or need a commitment; the plan notes say which. Check the provider's pricing page before you commit.

Every Exoscale plan and price

All 26 plans in Exoscale's own price list, read 2026-10-14. Instance prices only, in euros without tax for 730 hours (dollar figures at the ECB rate; accounts billed in US dollars or Swiss francs pay the same figures in that currency). Local SSD storage is extra at EUR 0.00014 per GiB an hour (EUR 1.02 a month for the 10 GB minimum). Storage Optimized prices include their minimum local disk (1 to 10 TB, at EUR 0.00006 per GiB an hour). A public IPv4 and IPv6 address and 1.42 GiB of outbound traffic an hour (about 1.1 TB a month) come with every instance; more traffic is EUR 0.02 per GB. A type marked "on request" is not out of stock: Exoscale has to enable it for an account first.

Where Exoscale wins

  • A public IPv4 and IPv6 address are included with every instance
  • Billed by the second, with no commitment
  • Swiss company with every zone in Europe
  • The same price list in every zone

Where it does not

  • The local SSD disk is billed on top of the instance, per GB and per hour
  • Outbound traffic beyond 1.42 GiB an hour per instance (about 1.1 TB a month) costs EUR 0.02 per GB
  • Dearer than most providers here for the same vCPU and RAM
  • The largest instance types must be enabled for an account before they can be used

Who should actually pick this

European businesses that want a Swiss provider, per-second billing and data kept in Europe, and can pay a premium for it.
