# StackRates > Independent VPS and cloud hosting price index. Every price is the provider's own list price, read from its price API or pricing page and dated. Prepaid terms, VAT and separately billed IPv4 addresses are stated wherever a price is quoted. Some providers pay us a referral fee; the site says which on every page, and it never changes the order of a ranking. ## Prices and rankings - [Cheapest VPS lists](https://stackrates.ai/vps/): every tracked plan ranked by real monthly cost, by budget, RAM, CPU count and feature. - [Cheapest VPS by region, country and city](https://stackrates.ai/vps/): the price charged in each location, including regional surcharges and local price lists (for example https://stackrates.ai/vps/india/, https://stackrates.ai/vps/germany/, https://stackrates.ai/vps/los-angeles/). - [How much does a VPS cost?](https://stackrates.ai/vps-cost/): price spread by RAM size, what a monthly budget buys, costs the headline price leaves out, and where the same plan costs more. - [VPS prices a year on](https://stackrates.ai/vps-prices-a-year-on/): providers' pricing pages as the Wayback Machine captured them closest to 15 October 2025, against today's prices, plan by plan, with the archive links. The study covers the providers tracked when it was made: 31 in all, 30 with an archived page. CSV at https://stackrates.ai/data/year-on-year.csv. - [The printed VPS price vs the price you pay](https://stackrates.ai/vps-headline-vs-real-price/): at 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 GB, the lowest printed price next to the cheapest plan you can order, with the IPv4 fee, intro prices, terms and stock counted; CSV at https://stackrates.ai/data/headline-vs-real.csv. - [VPS deals today](https://stackrates.ai/deals/): introductory and sale prices read daily from the providers' own pricing pages, each with its regular price, how long it lasts and the first-year cost; no coupon codes. - [Provider pricing pages](https://stackrates.ai/compare/): 55 providers, each with its plans, cost per vCPU and per GB of RAM, and for most of them the provider's full price list read from its own API or pricing page (euro prices converted at the ECB rate). Where a provider publishes stock, sold-out plans are marked and left out of rankings. ## Ask the data - [Ask StackRates](https://stackrates.ai/ask/): plain-language price questions answered from today's dataset, with sources. No language model; the page shows how it read the question. - API: `GET https://stackrates.ai/api/ask?q=` (JSON; add `&format=text` for plain text), or POST `{"filter": {"min_ram_gb": 4, "location": "germany"}}`.
